HALF-DAY MEDIATION SERVICES
Mr. Barnes charges $5,000 for a half-day mediation for single plaintiff cases. This includes all preparation time, up to five hours of mediation time, and administration costs. Fees for additional time will be charged at $1,000 per hour. Fees for “unused” time will not be refunded.
FULL-DAY MEDIATION SERVICES
Mr. Barnes charges $10,000 for a full-day mediation for class, PAGA, collective, and multi-plaintiff cases and $8,000 a day for single plaintiff cases. This includes all preparation time, up to ten hours of mediation time, and administration costs. Fees for additional time will be charged at $1,000 per hour. Fees for “unused” time will not be refunded. Mr. Barnes reserves the right to charge additional fees for cases involving multiple filings or separately represented parties.
Please do not reserve a mediation date unless you are sure that you will go forward. Counsel, not their clients, contract for the mediator’s services and are responsible for paying all fees. Our policies are as follows:
- Mediation fees are due in full upon booking and must be received no later than 25 days before mediation. We reserve the right to take matters off calendar if fees are not paid timely.
- Fees include a non-refundable administrative fee of $500 per separately represented party. In the event of cancellation or continuance, this fee will not be refunded.
- Cancellations or continuances 14 days or less prior to mediation will result in forfeiture of the entire mediation fee, unless we can fill the date with another matter.

Fees paid less than 25 days prior to the mediation must be paid by credit card using the Law Pay link. A 3% non-refundable service charge applies.
Mr. Barnes is available for mediation via video conference only unless previously arranged for an in-person mediation.
